What time is check-in and check-out?

Nantucket, MA, properties: Check-in is at 4 pm and check-out is at 11 am.

Lake Toxaway, NC, properties: Check-in is at 4 pm and check-out is at 10 am.

Can I request a late check out?

Yes, for an additional fee as long as there isn’t anyone checking in on the same day.

How do I get the keys to my rental?

We will send a key box code the day of check in.

Who do I contact if we have an issue during the stay?

The caretaker or the manager.  We will provide you with both sets of information prior to  your stay.

What is the security deposit and when will I receive it back?

The security deposit is collected to cover accidental damages beyond what is considered “normal wear and tear”. The amount, which varies by unit, will be listed in the payment detail, along with other charges such as cleaning fee and taxes.

Unless we notify you that the deposit is needed to cover repairs, you can expect to see the charge refunded within two weeks after the completion of your stay.

Do I need to bring sheets & towels?

No.  We provide bed linens, bath towels and beach towels based on the occupancy for each home.

I see you provide essential toiletries. What are they?

We provide dishwasher detergent, dishwashing soap, kitchen sponges, laundry detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, bath soap, hand soap, shampoo, and conditioner. Depending on the length of your stay, you may need to purchase or bring additional quantities. 

 

What counts as an additional guest? For example, my husband and I are renting a 1-bedroom cottage, but my brother will be staying on the pull-out sofa. Do I include a guest in the reservation information?

The number of guests per rental is calculated based on the number of bedrooms, counting 2 guests per bedroom.  Because most of our units have a pull-out sofa, extra guests are able to stay by paying an additional guest fee. 

In the scenario you described, your rental is a 1-bedroom cottage that allows for 2 guests. In this case, your brother would be considered an additional guest.

 

How many additional guests am I allowed to have?

Each rental listing specifically states the number of people the rental sleeps, which is also the maximum number of guests allowed.  

In most cases, you are able to have 2 additional guests, but please refer to the rental listing for specifics.
